It is a popular technique used in the turquoise industry often not labeled as fused, but more the less a common standard. The most popular fused turquoise is spiny oyster with turquoise.  Fusing is the art of taking natural smaller pieces and pressing them together with a bonding agent and then shaping/polishing. Also a very common technique used with your traditionally smaller crystals to make bigger pieces.
