.925 Sterling Silver High Quality Pink Natrolite Pendants
The beautiful and stunning Natrolite or rather Pink Natrolite hails from the Island of Nusa Kambangan in Central Java, Indonesia. These specimens were actually located in a basalt deposit.
Due to its beautiful fibrous, chatoyant like displays similar to that of Larimar, this specimen is often referred to incorrectly as "Pink Larimar". While they look similar, they are different. Larimar is a type of Pectolite while Natrolite is a type of Zeolite. You may also see miss identifications with Thomsonite. Natrolite and Thomsonite are both zeolite minerals found in volcanic basalt, but they differ significantly in crystal habit, chemical composition, and pattern. Natrolite typically forms radiating sprays of slender, needle-like crystals (often white or colorless that can have chatoyant like displays), while Thomsonite commonly forms solid, rounded, bullseye or ring patterns, often in diverse colorful displays. Natrolite tends to be strictly white with tan to pink sometimes orange like centers that create a leopard like pattern.
